Bookings
Special accommodation rates have been negotiated for the 2nd National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family & Community Strengths Conference. In order for you to receive these rates, your accommodation must be booked though
www.conferencestays.com and NOT directly with the hotel. 

Rates include GST and are quoted on a per room per nights basis and do not include breakfast, except where indicated. EARLY bookings are advised. Rates cannot be guaranteed for accommodation requests made later than 8 weeks before the start of the event. Accommodation cancelled within 30 days of pending arrival may be subject to a cancellation fee of the first or all nights’ accommodation at the hotel’s discretion.  Please indicate on your booking if you have any special requirements.

 

Shuttle bus service

A daily bus service will be provided between your accommodation venue and The University of Newcastle for all conference sessions. Please indicate if you require this service on your delegate registration form.

 

Making a Booking

To book accommodation please visit www.conferencestays.com.

-  Select the 'book a room' option for the hotel you wish to choose.
-  Enter your required arrival and departure dates (between 28 Nov - 6 Dec 09 only)
-  Select the number of people sharing the room
-  Choose your room type from the right hand column
-  Enter your contact details
-  Click 'review booking'
-  Enter the names of any accompanying persons and any special requirements in the additional comments box
-  Enter your payment details
 

Payment

Accommodation bookings will NOT be confirmed unless accompanied by card details or until full payment is received.

 

All guests are required to supply a credit card on check-in (unless a third party is taking care of all charges) as a pre authorisation.  If a guest does not have a credit card then a $50 or $100 returnable cash bond is required.  This can be covered by a group representative providing a credit card to guarantee payment of any extra costs.  Please check the hotel listings for their individual terms and conditions.

 

You can pay using the following methods:

Cheque – Please send full payment directly to the hotel as instructed.

Credit card – Please select the ‘form’ option and enter your card details at the time of your booking.  Payment will be processed directly by the hotel.

Early Arrivals and Late Departures

All requests for early check-in and late checkout will be passed on to the respective hotels however no guarantees can be made. Check-in is usually after 2:00pm and checkout by 10:00am.

 

Sharing

Please advise us if you will be sharing with another conference delegate(s) and if so who.  Please specify these details in the optional comments box.
